Global recording artist
Sarah Brightman, a UNESCO Artist for Peace Ambassador, will fly to the International Space Station in September 2015 as a member of the
Soyuz TMA-18M crew. As a self-financed spaceflight participant, she will spend 10 days on the orbiting outpost, during which time she plans to be the first professional musician to sing from space.
On March 10 at a press conference in London, Brightman
revealed her mission's motto — "Chasing Dreams, Shaping Futures" — and her personal mission patch.
